: The letter "T" before and after the
: words "Swiss Made" means that the
: glow in the dark lume includes a radioactive
: material, I believe Tritium.
Thanks - I finally found a reference on Omega's site mentioning the T / Tritium, although it mentions on that model that the T is encircled. (?)
: I believe a watch not saying "Swiss
: made" is very common for older watches
: (1950s and before).
Could also make sense even though as seller advetized, it is a circa 60s watch - comparable vintage models usually say Swiss. Maybe redial artist just did not include.
: I'm no expert at spotting fakes, but all of
: your examples look like typical examples of
: vintage Omegas. Nothing about them jumps out
: as overly fishy to me (especially the
: "T Swiss Made T").
Well, that is good. I'm not opposed to buying a watch that has had some restoration done, as long as it is GOOD restoration work by a reputable watchmaker. Wouldn't want a lemon.
Thanks for the feedback!
