Our objective here is to DISCOURAGE the sales and purchase of counterfeit
wristwatch and jewelry products. It is also for helping people identify
watches that are mostly authentic, but have been: altered for personal customization,
repaired with inappropriate parts or modified to be passed off as more valuable pieces.

'For sale' postings, commercial solicitation and ads are not allowed. Links to Internet auctions are acceptable only if their purpose is to question the authenticity of a product or provide new clues for identifying counterfeit products. Links that appear to be 'shills' promoting the sale of counterfeit products will be deleted. Links to websites of sellers of counterfeit items are not permitted -- we know they are out there and do not need to be encouraging them by sending traffic to their sites. : The bezel is off,
It has a rotating bezel, so may merely be bumped out of position. That is in no way a sign of a fake.
: there are no crown guards,
Actually, I see them. Looks like the one photo provided was taken at such extreme closeup that there is a bit of forced perspective on it. Kind of like shooting a normal scene through a wide-angle lens. But the guards are there on the right side.
While they look smaller than they ought to, realize that the seller MAY have unscrewed the crown to stop the watch for the photo. That could make the crown guards look shorter than they really are.
: and the bracelet ends look stamped
On the real thing, the bracelet end pieces ARE solid. It is the links that are made of nine separate pieces.
: Also, the sword hands look "off" too.
That model has SKELETON hands, not the sword hands. But I think my next comment will explain why the hands look a little 'off.'
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT PIECE:
That cannot possibly be the model 2531.80 that the seller claims. The 2531.80 is the FULL SIZE. That model has a tighter proportioning on the dial and lacks the hour mark at 3 o'clock. It appears to be the MID SIZE version, which is actually a 2551.80. That is important, because the used watch value of the mid size should be $100-150 LESS than the full size.
