I ordered an expensive watch & was unwilling to part with more than a deposit. There were prolonged delays & excuses. When eventually I was informed that it had arrived I decided to collect the watch & pay by credit card. The premises appeared to be an office in a serviced building housing multiple tenants. Our business was conducted in the foyer, something akin to the entrance to a railway station with large numbers of people and turnstiles to admit tenants beyond the reception area. The lighting was dim and the transaction was concluded with a portable credit card machine. On arriving home I could see the watch was pink gold & not yellow gold as ordered and confirmed. I had even quoted the manufacturers number. Fortunately, the authorised dealer had stamped the guarantee so I was able to approach them direct for a remedy.
The person who appears to be the pricipal, Lee Niles , is untrustworthy. I would certainly not deal with him nor any company with which he is connected. If your other correspondents are correct I am not surprised that The Branded Watch Co has ceased trading. It would not be unusual for the directors to continue in business using another name.
