Counterfeit Watchers Discussion Forum

A forum for identifying and avoiding wholly or partially non-authentic wristwatches -- including counterfeit, replica, Frankenwatches and other fake or bastardized pieces. Our objective here is to DISCOURAGE the sales and purchase of counterfeit wristwatch and jewelry products. It is also for helping people identify watches that are mostly authentic, but have been: altered for personal customization, repaired with inappropriate parts or modified to be passed off as more valuable pieces.

Including a photo of the piece you are talking about ALWAYS helps! You can learn how to post a photo here: How To Include Photos In Your Postings. 'For sale' postings, commercial solicitation and ads are not allowed. Links to Internet auctions are acceptable only if their purpose is to question the authenticity of a product or provide new clues for identifying counterfeit products. Links that appear to be 'shills' promoting the sale of counterfeit products will be deleted. Links to websites of sellers of counterfeit items are not permitted -- we know they are out there and do not need to be encouraging them by sending traffic to their sites. Privacy, additional policies and administrivia are covered in the Terms of Use.

Re: Authenticity of Omega Constellation Mens Watch

i bought a omega constellation chrononometer from jomashop as well.
about 5 or 6 years ago i bought the exact same one from an autherized omega dealer (since lost)
and that watch had the greek letter _omega_ on the crown but the crown on the one from jomaship
does not . when i contacted jomashop and told them i belived it to be phoney they told me to get it
in writing form an autherised dealer and send it to them nd they would accept it for return. they were
pretty matter of fact about it as if they had heard it b4. when i checked web for complaints about them
i found quite a few people who said they had recived nonworking watches from jomashop and although these were all
replaced with working ones i find it suspiscious . fine watch companies check their watches b4 they leave the factory.
i will take this to an AD and have him open it up and if it is fake have them give me a writen statement to send jomashop and ask for refund.
i will let u know how it works out. check here in a week or so..... i think the unsigned crown is a givaway other than that it
looks and weighs v. much like the real thing and works fine but i dont want to pay the real omega price for counterfit
timepiece.... seems like most internet watches are fake and most manufactuers warn against buying except from autherized dealers
i read all this after the fact and feel a bit foolish for not reasearching b4 i parted with my $$$...o well, stay tuned.
