Heuer Solunar: two different dials for tide measuring

Hi all,

I tried to find other explanations but so far no luck. Isn't that interesting: a precision measuring company has two different versions for a dial to measure high and low tide... hope that was not the case in motorsports...

Niko

: Hi all,

: I have two Heuer Solunar with an interesting difference: as you can
: see in the image the inner dials are different, see the
: difference in angles (marked red), which means that each watch
: will show another time for high tide. I would seriously presume
: there are no oceans tides in Switzerland, so did they just
: guess?

: Thanks for your help, and: if you come across a Solunar bezel, I
: desperately need one!!!

: Thanks for hints and a fruitful discussion,

: Niko
