Sold this morning, by Fellows, in Birmingham, as Lot 59 in its "Luxury Watch Sale" . . . Skipperrera serial number 105919.
45,000 GBP hammer price = $58,699 (1.00 GBP = $1.304); with the 23% buyer's premium, we get to $72,200.
One of the nicer Skipperreras that we have seen recently.
Congratulations to the new owner.

: On Monday, October 26, Fellows will be auctioning a
: "Skipperrera". The listing in the catalog is HERE .
: With the Skipperreras, the desirability seems to hinge on a couple
: of factors -- (a) how the blue paint has survived over the
: years, as we usually see some paint loss around the applied
: markers, and (b) how bright and vibrant the colors are,
: particularly on the three segments in the minute recorder. The
: watch being sold by Fellows seems to do well on both counts --
: minimal paint loss around the markers and strong colors on the
: minute recorder.
: We'll hope to add some additional photos and details, in the next
: few days.
