: Just wanted to follow up on this I eventually got round to the
: Heuer 1000 movement replacement the ISA 1198.32 is I can report
: a direct and perfect fit. I just fitted the dial and hands no
: issues dropped the movement in the case set the stem and hey
: presto she's running like a champion. I am very happy with the
: result and it's great to have it back on my wrist.
I realize this is a very old thread, but thought I'd post here to see if I can get some help. I also have an original Heuer 1000 from the mid-eighties (980.006L with the ESA 963.114 movement) and after reading this thread I purchased an ISA 1198.32 to see if I could get it working again. The watch dial fits fine on the 1198.32, but when I put the movement into the case it's very difficult to insert the stem. It seems the 1198.32 is slightly thicker than the original movement. @Davy911 did you have this problem as well with yours? If so, how did you get it resolved?
