Economy of scale

My day job I deal with mega quantities. I understand the economy of scale. Unfortunately, I don't think there are enough customers to support a run of 1K pcs. Then there is the decision to build the complete bezel or just the inner ring. The everyday customer will never be able to replace just the ring on the Autavia.

I understand the business model of the Rolex insert because of the MASSIVE volume of Chinese fakes out there. There are only limited quantities of Chinese Autavias sold. I can pick up a fake Autavia for $150 on ioffer.com ......now there's a thought.

Just bought a fake Autavia there for $40. Used. Going to check out the bezel. Now if I can only get a bezel for my early Seamaster 300...........
