here are a couple of shots taken with my new Nikon D70s. Lens is the 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR Zoom, recommended by Jim Nichols . . . ISO set at around 1000 (which explains the grain) . . . exposure around 1/200th . . . taken from 20 rows back, above the Hawks' foul-line.

I will likely stick with the Nikon Coolpix 4500 for the watches, but this D70 is a great machine for the action shots. The point-and-shoot digital cameras are great, but the modern digital SLRs will remind you what a great feeling it is to push the button and have camera fire immediately.
