With all due respect to your incredible knowledge of these Heuers and your magnificent collection, I find it very difficult to believe that Heuer would have used such short hands on these Monacos. They look downright silly, and I just cannot believe that Heuer would have produced these watches. (Of course, if you have better information, I will stand corrected.)
I have spoken with Hans Schrag this morning. He joined Heuer in 1963 and continues working with them to this day. He says that Heuer never used these short hands on Monacos (or any other watch). He also pointed out that Heuer never used these textured markers [they were always polished] and that the markers have clearly been re-applied, so that they are at uneven angles.
