My understanding is that these watches have been avaliable for sale to Secret Service personnel for quite some time before the gift to President Obama took place.

While not everyone has access to the Secret Service store, I'd be extremely surprised if only 12 were made. How many agents do you figure have purchased these since the inauguration?

I suppose they could tell you, but then they'd have to kill you.
