Thanks. I just measured the cases of my V72's Carrera's and compared it to the L189's ( second exc. dial). I do not notice any difference in case size and assume that the V72 leaves open more space between calibre and case than the L189 version does.
Anyhow, I will ask the seller to measure again precisely, as one of the attractions of this watch to me is the 37mm size which is pretty extraordinary for the early sixties.
Regarding the markers used: they are nearly identical to the ones which I see on my 1958 black Jaeger leCoultre Memovox which incidently also has dauphine hands. Assume they were in fashion at the end of the fifties, early sixties. Would you know when these pre-Carreras were first introduced?
