You are absolutely correct: "customized" could mean that it is engraved with the name and blood type of a Ferrari driver, that it has the "A.M.I." name and logo on the dial, that it has a message from Marilyn Monroe to President Kennedy engraved on the back, or that it has the Indianapolis Motor Speedway logo on the dial. We should not pre-judge this auction.
My skepticism arose from having received photos, some months ago, of a collection of approximately 100 Heuers, to be offered for sale by a collector in Italy, that included many beautiful Heuers and many horrible fakes, of the worst variety. I assume that Patrizzi would not knowingly sell any "customized" watches (of the fake variety), with the Heuer name on this dial. Perhaps this is way only 100 of the 200 in the collection will be offered.
Let's hope for beautiful Heuers and a very successful sale!!
