Hi Evan - the catalogue I referred to is the 1968 version which is a good estimate for the date of your watch. I am not sure where you got the value from but I think you are a little high. Now for the big surprise - your watch has a hand wound mechanical movement (no battery). You will need to wind it up using the crown which is the central knob on the side of the watch. If it is working correctly you should be able to wind it up with a gentle turning of the crown. If it does not move then it requires the attention of a watchmaker. To change the time you pull out the crown and set the time. Once fully wound up the top pusher above the crown will start and stop the stop watch and the lower pusher will reset the stop watch hand. With regard to service let us know where in the world you are and I am sure one of the members will suggest a watchmaker near to where you are. regards Paul
: Wow Paul, thanks! What year catalog should I look in for this
: watch? What would the rough date be? It seems that this watch
: has a value in the $2000-2500 range, if I've read this
: correctly?
: The battery in this watch is dead and it could probably use a good
: servicing. The shape of my particular watch isn't good, but it's
: not bad either. What's the best way to go about getting the
: battery replaced and the watched fully serviced? Do you think
: anything can be done about the cosmetics to improve them?
