Shaun has hit the nail on the head here.
Ofcourse there will always be some "strange" watches (read watches that are not 100% original as sold by Heuer) in a Heuer auction...but the method of value-rating seems very amateuristic and could be very confusing for not so knowledgable collectors...
I agree an auction will be good for the image of Heuer...but after seeing this catalogue and watches for sale I have my personal doubts...this is a missed opportuniy and I sincerely hope the people at Patrizzi will learn their lesson. They may be good and knowlegable with Rolexes, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constatin,....but they sure need to learn about Heuer. My biggest question is why that they didn't contact Jeff or Arno up in front?? Very bizarre!!??
I already look forward to the next upcoming big event, maybe in Monaco?? ;-)
Best regards,
Abel.
