I received the catalogue as well, and while others have been complementary about it, I found it to be very disappointing on the Heuer front. Here are some of my concise points:
photos too small
photos are not detailed enough--this is a major auction and many forum members do a far superior job at home!
one photo per watch is not enough for the more important pieces
for Heuers obviously, the condition of the case--polished, untouched, etc. is of paramount importance; there is no way to discern this from the photos or the descriptions
re a point already made: no differentiation between quality and ordinary pieces; also, someone at Patrizzi is valuing Calculators at nearly the entry point for some Monacos??
the inclusion originally of so many obvious fakes is really off-putting; this kind of sets the tone for the whole group
at least one movement is incorrectly noted
the grading system is shambolic: "very good" seems to be the default description for every watch
how can a movement be in "good" condition when it needs service?
The whole effort is like a misguided Labrador Retriever--well-intentioned but needs a firm hand to do the right thing.
