I should point out that it's probably easier to be intrigued on a little netbook screen that it is on something larger!

And something doesn't need to be original to be intriguing of course!

Do I think Heuer produced a white-dialled barrel Carrera? No.

Do I wonder where someone got a dial in that colour? Oh yes.

I've not seen any evidence of any of the contemporary Carrera dials fading to that colour, let alone one with those markers (one of four dials used in the barrel Carreras). Of course, they could have repainted the whole thing - if so, they did a good job on the 1/5 second markings around the edge.

Armando made a great spot. All the barrel Carreras have a paint marker at 3, 6 and 9:

The Heuer shield and Carrera text is too small (it's large on the barrels). Another trait of the barrels is that the Tachy scale matches the colour of the dial. In this case, looking at how it's faded at 5, 6 and 7 I would say that it's a blue-dialled watch.

None of which explains where on earth that dial is from in that colour, and that's still intriguing!!!
