: Looking back at the message that I sent out eight years ago, and
: seeing that I sent it to 80 recipients, I can hardly recall how
: I pulled together this list of recipients. I knew most of them
: from eBay, back in the days when we could see the IDs and send
: e-mails to all the buyers, sellers and bidders, but it's hard to
: imagine that we had no forum, no Twitter and no Facebook; Google
: had not arrived, and the search engines were far less developed
: than they are today. Of course, gatherings in Switzerland,
: London, New York and Paris were beyond the realm of possibility,
: and we had no books or blogs covering the Heuers. What an
: amazing eight years it's been, since I hit the "send"
: button on this e-mail message!!
