Surprising to See the Differences

It was surprising to line up the watches, oldest to newest, and see the difference in the geometry of the cases . . . and I was only studying two facets of the lugs!! We can only imagine the differences in other elements!!

It was all less surprising, however, when I began to think about how these cases were actually produced, back in the 1969-1972 range . . . probably very "manual" work . . . maybe something like cutting diamonds, where different cutters (case-makers), ended up with (slightly) different looking cases.
