It's very frustrating Stephan, as there is very little you can do.
Maybe he is telling the truth, and has 'sellers regret', maybe he has been offered more money. If you won it at a low price, this may be the case.
You could ask him outright - ie. "If you have been offered more, I'll match it".. only if you really want the watch and the price is reasonable. I know this hurts, as you won fair and square, but it happens sometimes.
