If you look at the prices, the Autavias (with MH or Tachy bezel) were being offered at $129, whereas the other automatic Heuer chronographs (Autavia GMT, Carrera and Calculator) were in the $200 to $265 range. It appears that once they dropped the prices on the Viceroys, so that the tobacco company could sell them at $88, the Autavia was also discounted through the dealers.
I was also surprised to see the Seikos coming in at $135 and $185, mid-way between the Autavias and the other Heuer chronographs. I haven't done the research, but I wonder what was going on with exchange rates with the Yen, back then. Also interesting to see a Valjoux 72 Longines listed at $185. Yes, the Caliber 12 Heuers were expensive watches!
