Sorry to go OT, but I can't read your post without visualising the watch I think of when I hear the words "Heuer" and "Phantom":
It's the model worn by the Vietnam fighter ace Jeffery Feinstein, flying the F-4 Phantom. I never miss the chance to post this pic....
