The estimate had been CHF 2,500,000 to CHF 4,000,000 ($2,654,485 to $4,247,176), so this one went toward the bottom of the range.
One thing for sure: No one can say this this watch did not receive enough pre-auction publicity. It seems that every watch blogger and journalist provided extensive coverage of this watch.
