Great story and nice end result.
I love it when these are old Heuers are brought back to life.
Just think of how many reached the stage where you bought it and were then thrown away because it cost too much to repair (especially compared to a new quartz watch). I guess 20-30% of all the Carreras and Autavias produced may have been thrown away and lost by now. Thats not based on any sort of evidence, just a pure guess.
So great if you can recover one or two! Nice job.
