There was few weeks ago nice early original looking 844 Monnin in Ebay.

It had low serial 140x, original bezel and also that square end on the minute hand like on that 79 catalogue cover.
Price was getting high for my taste and decided to skip and wait for something cheaper for my first Heuer diver :)...now afterwards maybe I should have bought it.
Now when I have tried to learn for short period about these divers there seems to be quite many actual models and also differences inside one model serie. So making a thorough guide will be a challenging but I would welcome such a guide.

: I can't add much, however I recently added one of these to the
: collection.
: Looking at the 1979 catalogue and discussing with Stewart, we
: deduced that the larger lollipop hand was applied to the quartz
: version (as the catalogue shows the automatic version on the
: cover and the quartz inside). Pictures courtesy of OTD.
