Like Jeff says.. I wouldn't give a watch to Jeff with a massive CAPS-LOCKS "FROM STEW MORLEY TO JEFF STEIN" on the back - that would be insane.

Now apply this to two of the biggest names of the era, and it starts to sound like someone is easily trying to make a $10k watch a $100k watch.
McQueen was a cool cat - he would have just given it away.. otherwise, we'd see more of his Monacos with the same M/O inscription.

Plus.. the font seems 'too 2015', if you know what I mean.
