Hi Jeff,
Shouldn't the serial# be higher for the second execution as well? Description says "Carrera, Case No.69949, Circa 1965"
Second execution started in 1969 with serial >90k or am I wrong? Did Heuer also use older cases for this execution?
Best regards
Erwin
: The second execution 2447 N is somewhat rare, but any premium
: for scarcity is likely offset by the general preference for the
: first execution, with the thinner markers and hands. And then
: there's the discount / deduction for the sloppy reluming.
: My explanation: Two guys wanted this watch and they were not
: concerned about comparables, price guides, resales, etc.
: It's almost time for me to tell a favorite auction story,
: "It's Not About the Watch . . . It's About Winning".
