I love vintage sound too... maybe because I always listen some old rock, jazz rock and fusion...
Love McIntosh/JBL sound and last arrive it's this couple of 60 kg each JBL Studio Monitor 4333, the same used in Beetles's Abbey Road Studios in London.
I found them in NOS conditions (hehhehheheheheh) in an old shop in Rome.
Power sound, nice definition... I love them!
At the moment, waiting McIntosh come back from assistance, some trophy come on...
