It is always hard to know how to comment on such situations. I know Andee and have always found him a very nice chap to converse and share thoughts with and I have never heard anything but positive feedback. All of us can be guilty of "getting out of the wrong side of the bed" and can be caught at a bad time and sometimes comments can be taken the wrong way on both sides but I hope you both can rewind and start again because "life is too short".

Re price i think a Rindt with a nice unpolished case, dial and bezel is now worth circa £10k+ GB, certainly the last few dealer sales have been at this level, with a truly mint one higher (mint dial/bezel with nice all original patina lume). They have gone up significantly over the past year, but only because they were very undervalued before. Even an eBay sale would not be much behind this and the risk level is higher. I look at modern chronographs selling for £5-10k and imo any desirable vintage piece from a well respected/collected brand should be north of such figures...the good condition vintage piece offers more in overall quality, history and rarity and ultimately is an investment, the modern piece might be so in another 50 years...

If we disagree with asking prices (and we all experience this from time to time) it is easier to vote with your feet and walk away.
