Jeff,
Here's one I sold some time ago;
http://heuertime.com/index.php?lang=eng&p=sale&sub=sale_detail&pID=130&cat=sold%20or%20traded
Think it's not so ultra rare (and I do prefer "standard" Rindt too). Have seen a handful of these throughout the years as well.
Best,
abel.
: Earlier today, I was part of a discussion of the Autavias with
: the funny looking, rounded numerals on the dials. These dials
: are used in the second execution screw-back cases and are rare,
: as we have seen fewer than 10 of these, all in the 85xxx and
: 86xxx serial number range.
: Here is an image that shows the difference between the standard
: numerals on the early Autavia dials and these
: "rounded" numerals. We see an actual watch with the
: rounded numerals, as well as a photo / drawing from an
: advertisement.
: Jeff
