Just noticed that the 2447N Mk1 which was to be auctioned Mar18th at Watches of Knightsbridge has been withdrawn.
imho Richard's priceguide is totally misguided to place the N and S in the same bracket... at GBP 7000 (Dealer/Excellent)

: I won't attempt a comprehensive analysis of recent sales
: results, and I have no hard data to support this suggestion, but
: it seems to me that the 1960s Carreras are making a strong move
: in the vintage market.
: Tonight, we saw a Carrera 2447 Decimal Minutes fetch $8,800 --
: http://www.ebay.com/itm/142298145510
: Last week, we saw a Carrera 2447 Tachymeter (co-branded for
: Abercrombie) on an instant BuyItNow, at $7,500 --
: http://www.ebay.com/itm/152453172205
: Dealers seem to be in the $10,000 to $15,000 range for the early
: 2447S or 2447N, if the watches are nice.
: Are the 1960s Carreras moving into the vacuum left by the Autavias?
: Are we seeing beaten crystals hiding beautiful dials (and if so,
: then how much will the beautiful ones sell for)? New
: appreciation for the perfect design of a chronograph?
: So what are you seeing / feeling in the market?
