I see notihng at all wrong with individuals creating their own chronos, from parts of various watches. The only rub comes when the guy who had it made decides that he will sell it, and also decides that it is a "rare prototype" . . . That's when it all gets messy.
enjoy your custom / unique / rare Montreal!!

looks good to me . . . only a shame that Heuer didn't come up with this design.
: I guess I should be ashamed to show this, but
: Jeff asked for some color. This is a franken
: Heuer I made.
: The movement and hands are from a very beaten
: up gold montreal, bought on ebay from a US
: seller. The NOS case was bought from
: Australia, also on ebay. The dial came from
: a dealer in Europe I found thru OtD.
: The only thing in my defence I would say is
: that all the parts are 100% montreal, so
: maybe it's more like family organ donor
: rather than a true frankenstein. Anyway, I
: love it. It truly is a global product of the
: internet.
: " I am alone and miserable, man will not
: associate with me, but one as deformed and
: horrible as myself would not deny herself to
: me." Frankenstein, Mary Shelley
