Hi Shaun
You are so right when writing:
"it would look really good in a boxing themed display with a 1960's Ringmaster stopwatch"
Before I knew that Paul was selling his Boxing mine (the other one) was sent to Christie's NYC to be auctioned 21. June together with a Ring Master.
I was of cause exited when I saw the price of Pauls Boxing - Sfr 25.000,-!

: Interesting comments Carlo, very informative as usual. I agree we
: should use OtD forum for substantive discussion; Instagram now
: has the volume for photo only posts, but for proper research and
: information, IG is useless; this forum is much better.
: I was a bit surprised on the boxing, I know it is incredibly rare
: but collectors seem to ignore the 5100s - unjustifiably in my
: opinion, they are a beautiful balance of form and function. I
: was wondering if TAG Heuer bought the boxing 5100? If I was them
: I would have bought it for the museum, it would look really good
: in a boxing themed display with a 1960's Ringmaster stopwatch,
: the 1980's 5100 and the recent Muhamed Ali boxing ringmaster
: "reimagination". Do we know if LVMH/TAG was bidding /
: won it?
: Shaun
