Hello all.
I think I am in the right place, but for the wrong reason. My beloved father passed away this past summer and I inherited his watch collection (Breitling, Bell and Ross, Hamilton, Benrus, Heuer, others). He worked for Volvo when I was born back in the 1970's and he had a "Volvo" watch that I always admired as a child. Upon inspection I noticed the Heuer crest on the dial and the crown so I did some google searches and found this forum. The movement is flawed as it can only be wound about 3/4 of a turn before it starts to wind itself back. That said, when "ticking" the chronograph functions seem to work. I'm hoping you can give me some idea of what I have and where I might go to get it repaired (I live in the greater Boston area). I'm also not sure if I want to get it fully restored or just fixed and cleaned up a bit. All information and perspectives welcome. Thanks.
Apologies in advance if I've messed up the picture link. I'm not the most computer savvy.
Kindest regards,
-jeffrey
