Having owned the Skipper, I can't imagine paying $14k for one... Yes, it has a truly beautiful dial - one of the best I've seen on a modern watch, actually - but the rest of the package is tangibly cheap. Especially the bargain-basement Sellita / DD chrono movement. This is a $2k watch, originally sold for $6k, now trading at more than twice that.
