I rarely get pulled in...

...to comment battles anywhere - and particularly on IG - but the question that spurred this response really pissed me off, as the commenter alluded to the fact that prices never deserved to rise that fast, Heuers are "mass produced" watches, and prices will assuredly continue to fall for years to come. If anyone is interested, I'd encourage scrolling through the entire back/forth, which also included commentary from a couple OTD mainstays (Bernard and Richard C).

I know we all have a bias towards Heuer, but the "piling on" from the peanut gallery is starting to nag at me. Perhaps it's a natural reaction for anyone who never owned Heuers to begin with and watched it all occur from the sidelines, but the blessing (and curse) of forums and social media is that everyone has a voice. That's a good thing when people are all informed, but a dangerous thing when strong opinions aren't underpinned by cursory knowledge.
