Re: Question regrding Trading Forum

Indeed a pertinent question.
A good sales corner needs a dozen moderators.
It needs sellers to be scanned before they can post sales ads.
The sale ads need to be reviewed before they appear.
A good example is omegaforums.net.
If not your sales corner gets flooded by scammers and people not respecting the rules.
This is what happened to Chronotrader I am afraid.
I am in no way criticizing Jeff Stein by posting this. He has done amazing things in the past years and he still is.
OTD is thé reference for anything that has to do with Heuer. He made Heuer a known name even among people that are not into vintage watches.
But he has always been very clear about the fact he didn't want to be the sheriff.
We can always start our own Heuer sales corner if we think we can do a better job.
It's sad to see that the forum that was once such a great place has become the playground of dishonest people.
But it is what it is I guess. Just check everything when you want to buy a watch, ask for solid references and otherwise you stay away.
Just my personal opinion of course and for what it's worth.
Best,
B
