i've never cared much about....
In Response To: Straps and authenticity ()

original straps and/or bracelets. same goes for boxes and packaging and papers. i know allot of people do, but all i really care about is the head. in most cases an aftermarket strap will work better for me anyways, and it's one less thing to worry about. every original strap i have ever gotten with a watch, comes right off and goes into a drawer. then i buy an aftermarket. i'd rather keep the original for the next owner, if i decide to sell it, then destroy it in daily wear. i'm a bit weird in that regard though, as i even take off the oem straps on new watches. mostly because i have a smallish wrist and most oems i have gotten are for big wrists. usually i could punch an extra hole, but i just don't. that's me though.

on your examples, i rather like them. i don't think it takes anything away from the watches...in fact i think they are fine choices of replacements. especially on the bracelet...originals are tough to find and quite costly usually. i bought an autavia gf bracelet one time and realized quite quickly that i'd rather spend that money on more watches, than on an old bracelet, that needs work.

nice pics, btw.
