I believe that we are all on the same page. Most intensely interested in vintage Heuer, and also interested in a few other vintage brands (for me, primarily Breitling, along with Sinn and some Omega).

Perhaps more than other readers, I am interested in how the activities of a modern brand like TAG Heuer can impact the vintage world. Look at the recent re-issues from Breitling and Omega, for example, and consider the impact on the vintage predecessors (Speedmaster Ultraman and Breitling Navitimer). And of course we have seen how the activity of a modern brand can impact the auctions of the vintage models.

I believe that increased interest in particular vintage brands (for example, Breitling, Omega and Tudor) can have an impact on interest in other brands (for example, Heuer). When the vintage collectors are chasing the Navitimers (circa 1960) there may be less budget available for the Heuers (circa 1960) . . . and also less interest. And we are seeing how this is driven by the activities and priorities of the brands.

I believe that the best of the vintage Heuers are still in strong hands, and that these watches have not subject to panic selling. Confidentially, I hear of strong prices being realized for the bast samples of the vintage Heuers. But we have seen a lot of junk come into the market (at relatively low prices), and this junk has been visible.

I still enjoy this community and these old Heuers, every day!!
