I'll leave the provenance debate up to the specialists but I would probably try to find a first execution case, although that won't be easy and will be costly. Trading up the Carrera case might be an option. With original case this would be an exceptional and rare watch. Of course the case number wouldn't be correct but I assume there's no register for this special execution dial. Perhaps someone else can shed light on that.
