So looking at the ones that went beyond the standard production models, and were inspired by the classic Autavias, we see the "Viceroy", the "Siffert" and the "Orange Boy".
Viceroy offers a genuinely different look, with the two registers . . . but it is available only in the United States.
The Siffert was done by David Chalmers / Calibre11, and the limited edition sold out quickly.
The Orange Boy is not a limited edition, but is available only through Hodinkee.
So yes, let's make a Shauntavia and market it all over the world, an unlimited edition!!
: The Viceroy may be a limited edition, but they're still readily
: available at most ADs I've wandered through in the past couple
: years. (Not to mention the fact that they're available for a
: decent discount on the secondhand or grey market)
: I've also come around on the Viceroy. At first I didn't really like
: it, but now I think it's my favorite variant of the reedition.
: This watch works so much better with two sub-registers in my
: opinion (similar to my opinion of the original and cushion-case
: versions ;) )
