Let's Be "Reasonable"
In Response To: Collector vs dealer prices... ()

Market Prices are based on the price that a "reasonable" collector would expect to pay, if he / she were to be reasonably diligent in searching for a watch for a reasonable amoutn of time. Sure, any of us can call a dealer and pay the customary 30% premium, and have the watch delivered by overnight mail, but that's not what this collecting hobby is all about, is it??

so we are not looking for the flea market price, and not looking for the Beverly Hills price [sorry Ken], but the amount that you would expect to pay after a reasonably diligent search.

OK, so now give us the editorial suggestions!!

Thanks,

Jeff
