We Will Ask Abel for a Report
In Response To: Diver 100 $5,800 ()

This one is being offered by Abel, and it looks great. I have heard of these selling for 4,000 euro, so this will not be a record-setting price.

We will ask Abel for a report, after the sale (subject to all the usual concerns about confidentiality, etc.).

I was talking to a U. S. dealer yesterday, and asking about the impact of the economic situation on his sales. He sells a broad line of chronographs and watches, from $500 to $30,000 (some Rolexes, but not the high-end Daytonas and COMEX guys). His description of the current situation is that there has been more adverse effect on the lower end of the range ($500 to $1,000 pieces), and that the primo pieces (good Navitimers, Speedmasters, El Primeros, UGs, etc.) are holding up well. By any description, this Autavia Diver 100 is a "primo piece".
