Vintage Breitling Forum -- Let's Give It Some Thought

the technical aspects have gotten easier -- thank you, Rainer, for this excellent software upgrade -- so the real question is whether there is sufficient interest in a vintage Breitling forum. On the occasions when I have posted items about vintage Breitlings on the Timezone or WatchUSeek Breitling forums, the response has been underwhelming. These forums seem to be limited to the modern watches, or maybe we can say that the modern content drowns the vintage content. And then there is the question of having a moderator who will wake up every day, and think about having some good content / discussion on the Forum.

so those are the issues:

  • technical? easy enough.
  • participants? if we build it, will they come? prospects seem good.
  • moderator? uncertain who does what in the vintage Breitling community. with sufficient interest among the readers and writers (and photographers), maybe it would work without deeply involved / active moderators.

Food for thought.

: Jeff, I would personally be delighted if you added a
: Vintage Breitling Forum! On the Dash is so easy and wonderful to
: navigate compared to the few Breitling sites I've visited. Not
: to mention the wealth of information shared amongst the
: contributors! That's one of the reasons I hang out here and have
: developed an interest in vintage Autavia's. Well, actually your
: articles on collecting and selling watches in IW Magazine a
: couple years ago is what really sparked my Autavia fascination.
: However, I really love my Breitlings too so a forum for
: Breitling under your On The Dash umbrella would be just
: spectacular!
