Don't worry, TAG Heuer have a pretty good record at putting the Basel concepts on sale:

Microtimer - went on general sale
Monaco Sixty-Nine - on sale as a limited edition
Carrera 360 - went on sale as a number of limited editions
Grand Carrera Calibre 36 Caliper (phew!) - about to go on sale in a couple of versions
Monaco V4 - er, well... er...yes...it will go on sale... we're tooling up for it...errr.../nods enthusiastically whilst backing away

So you really want to hope the wait for this Monaco is more like the Carrera 360 or GC 36 than the V4!

I kind of like the new one, it's very striking but not so sure on legibility - try explaining to the team why you left the road at Eau Rouge at full speed cos you were "trying to read my watch"!! It's definitely a nice finish on the case though, particularly where it meets the glass.
