Re: There Seems to be No Disagreement Here

have you read the section from this guy fully look at the bottom of the page. it seems the statements have been given by a breitling fellow direct. in the year follwow up section above in red letters it is stated breitling made the first protos....so no matter who made the first protos the most important thing for me is, that my watch is one of those...

the guy has one his own...so ask for his serial than we see who has the oldest 1968 proto....

In comparision to heuer you can by the serial get a flavour of 1968 or 1969 priduction... imagine one has a chronomatoc siffert and its a proto and you can not descide?

I contacted now the guy and I am curiosu of his comments too. seems the battle between breitling and heuer ist still going on :-)

Alex

: both Heuer and Breitling had the prototypes in September 1968;
: both Heuer and Breitling introduced the models to the public on
: March 3, 1969.

: I am sure that the two companies had different schedules for
: producing their catalogs, but there is no doubt that the two key
: events -- having the prototypes and having the big press
: conferences to introduce the models to the public -- occurred at
: the same times.
