Re: Found: Lowest Serial Number Yet for Carrera 1153

: OK, I have in hand a Carrera, Reference 1153 S (silver dial),
: with serial number 147 456 and an un-modified Caliber 11
: movement (yes, the date change starts at 11:45 PM). It is not a
: "Chronomatic", but has the normal "Carrera"
: across the top.

: We have seen one Chronomatic Carrera with a 147 5XX serial number.
: Who else has 1153s with low serial numbers?

: Don't worry readers . . . I promise that all these numbers are
: being compiled, and will be published in due course.

Cal. 11 date starts change @ 10:45 PM, isn't it?
Here you see the 148 459. Early for a cal. 12, I think, and less than a thousand units after yours...
The bridge is punched with 12 from the factory -I'm sure it has never been serviced at Heuer during its early days.
The GF bracelet came with the watch and is marked with 3 69 - third quarter of '69 as we have already concluded.
