After a long discussion over a month or two with the original owners grandson from Sweden, i was yesterday lucky enough to meet a share a drink with Chris from Sweden. It was a very fine day in Covent garden in the centre of London, blue skies 21C and after some lunch and a nice glass of wine or 4 I finally got to see this beautiful watch in the flesh and to take it home! The watch came from Chris' grandfather who was a watchmaker in Sweden and the stock of the now no longer used shop was given to Chris by his grandmother (as she put it "towards his driving licence"!)
This one had literally been dicovered in the safe at the back of the shop and it appears to me that this dial has never seen the light of day, there is no seal melt evidence it is all the same unmarked (the picture shows a fleck of dust, which i missed as i took the picture outside). The sub dials have not aged either as the watch was never in an enviroment to degrade. The case is beautiful and unpolished although there are some small markings on it, no original Heuer sticker, but this is sill a nos example to me with a great history!
Hope you like the pics!
