What would you buy for a knockabout???

I obviously can't take my old Heuers near water and want some ideas of a good sports divers watch to get. One that I can take swimming, to the gym, cycling, bathtime with my son etc... I don't want to spend a massive amount ( I'd rather put the money towards another Monaco ) but want something decent. I've thought of the usual suspects; Seiko etc. Any ideas please chaps??? What does everyone else have as a 'knockabout' watch?

Thanks

David H
