Re: What got you started?

: So: What got YOU started? And why Heuer?

Well,

I've just started, but here is my background. I guess I first was exposed to the Heuer brand through reading Road & Track in the 1960's. I always thought a set of Monte Carlo's would look great on the dash of a TR-3 or XKE. I had both the cars eventually, but never got around to getting the Heuers.

I'm a 'collector'. I collect vintage cameras, vintage stereo equipment, vintage Hallicrafters radios and ham radio equipment, Morse code keys, and collect and build models of F1 and Le Mans race cars in all scales. I also have a large library of Motorsports books and magazines with emphasis on Jaguar.

I recently met a Heuer collector on Facebook and found the 'eye candy' irresistible. Of course the long connection to Motorsports only added to the appeal.

You have already seen my "collection". One in hand and one on the way. But if my history is any indication I expect I'll have a few more before too long.

Anyone have a N.O.S. Sliverstone they are willing to part with??? :>)))

Rick
